1)What is a computer?
A computer is an electronic machine which can do
various jobs.
2)What are the parts of a computer?
Monitor:
A monitor looks like a TV which displays images and text on the computer
screen.
Mouse: It
is used to select items and draw pictures.
CPU: It is the brain of the computer. It gets
data from the user processes it and gives the result.
Keyboard: It is used to type letters, numbers
and symbols.
Printer: It is used to take printout on the
paper.
Speaker: It is used to listen music and hear
audio output.
3) What is an input device?
An input device is used to enter data into a
computer.
Example: Keyboard, Mouse, Microphone, Joystick
4)What is an output device?
An output
device shows the result of what we do on a computer.
Example:
Monitor and Printer, Speaker
5)What is a storage device?
A storage device is used to save data in a
computer.
Example:
Hard Disk, Pen Drive, CD and DVD

1.What is Windows?
Windows is an operating system that helps us to
use the computer.
Example. Windows 10, Windows 11
2.What is a desktop in Windows?
The desktop is the main screen of the computer
where we see icons and the taskbar.
3.What are icons?
Small
pictures on the Desktop are called Icons.
4.What is a Taskbar?
The Taskbar is the bar at the bottom of the
screen where we see open apps.
5.What does the Recycle Bin do?
The
Recycle Bin stores deleted files until they are permanently removed.
6.What are wallpapers in Windows?
Wallpapers are background pictures on the
desktop.
7.How can we change the wallpaper?
Right-click on the desktop → Click
"Personalize" → Choose a new wallpaper.
8.What is a cursor?
A cursor is the small arrow that moves when we
use the mouse.
